We are presently hiring an experienced Blow Moulding Technician for our Vaughan/Concord location near the intersection of Langstaff and Keele St. as part of our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Shift Operations and Production Process with assisting mold settings and processing control to finished part.
  • Assist with set-up machines from start to finish, including processing and first off sample submission to QC Department to ensure that the appropriate bottles are produced for production
  • Ensure smooth operation of the shift with shift team members (Lead Hand, Material Handlers & QC Inspector)
  • Make process and machine adjustments as required until problems are corrected.
  • Assist with production problems and performs duties in a safe manner
  • Adjust weight, distribution, deflashing tooling and color concentration of bottles when out of tolerance
  • Clear jam ups and line bottlenecks  during process
  • Check bottles for quality: hardness, holes, colors, etc. and adjust process to fix defects. Responsible for troubleshooting equipment (Bekum’s)
  • Color changing when required
  • Minimize scrap and utilization of regrind material
  • Manage and assign packer operators and working with shift QC to ensure a smooth operation of quality parts
  • Check set-up sheets for process variations regarding tooling, moulds, parts, etc.
  • Receive instructions from production schedule about what bottles are to be produced and what machines are involved
  • Perform other related tasks, as required.
  • Complete production reports at end of shift

 

Qualifications:

  • 2 years  of Blow Moulding experience in a Plastic Bottle manufacturing environment
  • Experience with HDPE, PP, LDPE & Pete preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Access to your own hand and power tools
  • Strong understanding of grinders, chillers, air compressors, Leak Testers, Spin Trimmers and other auxiliary equipment associated with in the operation of a plastic bottle manufacturing facility is considered an asset
  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulics, & pneumatics an asset
  • Safety shoes required
  • Able to stand, stoop, bend, push, and pull as necessary
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs

  

Schedule:

The plant operates 24 hours / 7 days a week

Compensation: 

  • Competitive pay between $58,000 and $78,000 annually
